Comfort Boxes
Our comfort boxes are sent to children with Down syndrome who are facing serious medical challenges and are assembled according to the recipient's needs and interests. The goals of this project are to provide practical distractions during long hospital stays and to remind families that they are seen, loved, and valued during one of the most isolating times of their lives.
Community in Kenya
In East Africa, Down syndrome is seen as a curse, and the lack of education and acceptance has caused people with Down syndrome to be hidden away. In partnership with the Down Syndrome Society of Kenya, we are working to cultivate community for Down syndrome families and educate local communities in Kenya about what Down syndrome really is.
